Welcome to Yiquan Courses

Master Yao Chengguang has been learning Yiquan from his father, the great master of Yiquan, since eight years old. Under the strict, systematic and intensive training, he comprehensively carried on Mr. Yao Zongxun career, which won the favor of his father and became the renowned Chinese martial artist of the third generation of Yiquan.

Master Yao Chengguang was extremely assiduous in Yiquan studies in his youth. Under the rigorous supervision from his father, carried through large quantity, high intensively concentrated training. Tui Shou (Pushing hands), San Shou (free combat) and real combat are the compulsory course of daily training.

By totally committing himself to the development of Yiquan, Master Yao Chengguang is the president of Beijing Martial Arts Association Yiquan Research Institute and Chairman of Beijing Zongxun WuGuan Yiquan Academy. At one time, he also holds the posts of honors president and chief instructor of Yiquan societies in many provinces in China as well as many countries in Asia and Europe.

Master Yao Chengguang is interested in doing researches on martial arts theories and has published a series of articles on Yiquan and special coverage of large-size symposiums of martial arts in both domestic and foreign martial arts magazines, newspapers and TV stations. Modest and amiable, open-minded and magnanimous, Master Yao Chengguang is possessed with the lofty manner and virtue of traditional masters of martial arts. He shows utmost solicitude for his students and teaches and guides them with great patience and consideration. In his belief, “skills of martial arts one obtains belong to the entire world”. Therefore, he keeps nothing back when teaching his students. Strongly against pseudo-science and detesting the ugly acts of cheating and misleading by those martial swindlers, Master Yao Chengguang emphasizes a lot on science, theory research and practice.

Yiquan Yang Sheng Training Courses

Yiquan Tui Shou (Pushing Hands) Training Course

 

- Course description: This Course is designed for in depth understanding and controlling of Yiquan Dan, Shuang Tui Shou (Single and Double Pushing Hands skills) and improving Tui Shou skills in actual combat.

- Prerequisites: Basic Yiquan Zhan Zhuang (Standing posts), Shi Li (Testing Force), Bu Fa (footwork) and Fa Li (Exerting Force).

- Total Duration: 60 days

- Course schedule: Full Time. Monday to Saturday, 8:30am - 11:30am and 3:30pm - 7:30pm

- Instructors: Master Yao and his senior assistant instructors

Yiquan Complete Training Course

 

- Course description: Complete Yiquan training. From elementary to advanced, learning step by step.

- Prerequisites: None

- Total Duration: 6 months

- Course schedule: Full time. Monday to Saturday, 8:30 - 11:30am and 3:30 - 7:30pm. Part time training is also available.

- Instructors: Master Yao and his senior assistant instructors

- Tuition Fee: Total US$1800 for 27 modules (new modules are added)

　

　

Intensive Yiquan Course

- Participant: Part time student, not available for for a total duration of 6 months, but ready to invest their full time in an intensive training with Master Yao in Beijing.
- Course duration and schedule: No time limitation, 7 days/15 days/1 month recommended.
- Instructor: Master Yao and his top assistant instructors.
- Course contents: As much contents as you can learn during your lesson
- Cost: Based on the contents you will be able to learn.

　

　

　

Individual Training Course

　

In order to satisfy the needs of foreign student who wishes to learn Yiquan from Beijing ZongXun WuGuan, we now launch the Individual Training Course which is taught by Master Yao in person.  The training schedule must be arranged in advance.

　

The Individual Training Course consists of Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced level class.

　

- Elementary Course (module 1 - 4)       US$320 in total. Course Syllabus

　

- Intermediate Course (module 5 - 16)    US$950 in total.  Course Syllabus

　

- Advanced Course (module 17 - 27)      US$850 in total.  Course Syllabus

　

For single module training is US$85.

　

Yiquan Instructor's Course

- Course description: Normally, Yiquan Instructor's Course consists of three stages:
   1st Stage: Students need to finish Yiquan Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced Training Courses, and then

                   take mid-exam. (3 months)
   2nd Stage: Intensive courses on Yiquan Theory, skills and real combat, and then the final exam. (4 months)
   3rd Stage: Instructor's Internship. Students need to take 3-month Yiquan Internship to get the Instructor's

                   Certificate. (3 months)

Students with strong Yiquan background who pass the mid-exam may start from the 2nd stage. The course duration may vary depends on student's learning ability which will be evaluated by Master Yao.

Instructor's Course student will be taken as Master Yao's in-door student. After students get the Yiquan Instructor's Certificate, students are authorized to set up Yiquan School or organization worldwide as the branches or representatives of Beijing ZongXun WuGuan, Beijing Yiquan Institute.

- Course schedule:  Monday to Saturday, 8:30 - 11:30am and 3:30 - 7:30pm
