For prefessional course, intensive course, afterhours course to learn YiQuan in Beijing, contact directly. Invite seminars running in other countries, contact Master Yao directly. Correspondence Course of YiQuan The international
correspondence course was held since Febrary 2000, transitting course
materials through e-mail, and interact through the bulletin board on
current site. Before that, only Chinese version correspondence course
could be received in China mainland, and Hong Kong. It gave us a good
chance to meet more people who interest in YiQuan, talking together
with YiQuan, and getting benefit from trainning. This course helped
my teacher, master Yao, to spread his great art more quickly, and
more effectively.
FAQ of YiQuan Correspondence Course
Q:
What the YiQuan training correspondence course is?
A: The training correspondence course includes 4 parts of books. It is recommended by master Yao for each part to learn about one year. But you could learn it more quickly if you learn more earnest and a little hard (note don't learn it too hard, there's always something need time to get). Another recommend by master Yao is that you could invite one or more friend learn it together, it will helpful for those combat training like Tui-shou, San-shou. There's no limit you could show printed training books to your friends, but you couldn't distribute them in any way, please care for this and thanks. Q: How could I get those training books? A: The correspondence course books will be mailed to you by air directly by Master Yao. as soon as he get payment notification by Paypal. If you have any problem to receive it. Please contact directly, we will check your status and resend to you if necessary. It's not an e-business, but a course use Internet as a communication tool only. Q: How to learn YiQuan through course books? A: Read clearly, ask questions through forums if you don't know how to do it. Please note that you should learn a little for a day, you needn't read too much, because what you need is experience of the art, you should learn YiQuan through practice but not theories. As the best you could also learn them more easily from Yao's lastest training VCDs. The VCDs is now sound in Chinese, but course students could get explanation in English later from Mr. Kalisz. Q: Could I study from some other books of YiQuan after I join the course? A: No. I suggest you don't. YiQuan's art and improvement could get only through practice but not books. There's no benefit for you to read too much books. Instead, they will confuse you. YiQuan training theories are simple, the right notes have been told you in those course books, it's enough for practise; even you couldn't do it correctly at first time, but practice will help yourself, to understand better. Usually, practice will give you the art, but not more books, not more theories. Q: How much cost for the correspondence course? A: For the correspondece course, you should pay US$70 to master Yao for each part of course. That is to say, totally 4 training books US$280, including additional fee. You could pay it through Bank of China or through checks to him directly (master Yao's address ). Master Yao could receive the money from Bank of China after two months later when you send cheque to him. Some information about payment from my friend also student Bert from USA as followed, please check from your bank to get your best way: "I checked with a local bank and they charge for international wiring of money according to how much you are sending. Locally, it was $12USD for up to $800USD sent, $10USD for $800-1000USD, $8USD for $1000-2000USD and no charge for $2000USD and above. They convert the money to RMB (Chinese dollar) first then make the transfer over to the Bank of China. For someone sending $45USD, this would not be too economical. However, if they sent $180USD, maybe they might not mind spending the $12USD, which comes out to 15%. Frankly, I think the course is worth every penny! I am sure that prices probably vary around the US and so it would be best if the sender checked with their local banks or other money transfer companies. I also checked with Western Union, but they charge $33USD for sending $180USD, quite a difference in charges. From talking with others who send money back to China, they say the Chinese banks don't care too much for traveler's checks unless you are there to sign in person. They say this is because they are easy to forge. Money orders, checks and international drafts are acceptable, but they tell me that there is a transaction fee that the Bank of China charges whether you cash or deposit them. No one could tell me how long it took for the money orders and drafts to clear." Thanks Bert for tell us this. Q: As I am right now at Hong Kong, may I just deposit the equivalent Hong Kong currency into Master Yao's bank account, by that, I don't have to exchange from this money to that money. A: Yes, it could also works. Master Yao said that he could receive all money types only from Bank-of-China. So it's no matter to pay with HK yuan instead of US dollar, of course, includes the Europa Euro. Other types please check from Bank-of-China. Q: I read somewhere that you can actually become skilled in YiQuan, including for combat purposes, in a relatively short period of time -- such as 2-3 years. Is that true? A: you could do it even after 3 month and more if you learn it from Master Yao directly, be lucky and be a good constitution. Professional combat students could do combat practice since the second month. Q: Will master Yao visit to U.S. or Europe to teach us face-to-face? A: Master Yao has visited Italy last year.More seminars he will could give in Europe or U.S if possible. More questions please check in the forums. |
